FLOORING INSTALLATION CHANGE CONTROL PROCESS
During a flooring installation, we anticipate the need for potential changes that may influence the scope of a project. We employ a standard 4-step method for defining potential change orders: identify change, communicate scope of change, achieve consensus, act accordingly. Each is explained below:
Identify Change: If a request falls outside of the scope of the agreed upon specifications, it will be the sole responsibility of NPN FLOORING to identify that this is the case.
Communicate Change: When an out-of-scope request has been identified, it will be the sole responsibility of NPN FLOORING to communicate this to the client before any other action is taken toward that request.
Achieve Consensus: When communicating that an out-of-scope request has been identified, it will always be the goal of NPN FLOORING to reach a mutually beneficial agreement with our client. Action will not be taken on any reported out-of-scope requests without a consensus agreement on subsequent course of action, timeline, and out of scope cost between NPN FLOORING and the client.
Act Accordingly: Invariably we find that we are able to reach consensus decisions with our clients when we are responsive and transparent with respect to change control. Once we have identified and decided upon a mutually agreeable course of action, we will act accordingly.
